Description

Maquinista Escobar is a duet formed by the chileans Oscar Marcelo Lazo and Gabriel Ignacio García. Their influences cross indie pop and electronic music with spanish and Latin-American songwriting, exploring a sound where organic instruments meet synthesisers. Machines meet strings, beats meet bits. The name is a homage to the history of the loco pilot Manuel Jesús Escobar, the first chilean among English and American train drivers, who took control of the most advanced machines of the XIX century.
